One app — both parents
Invite the other parent via QR code — without extra cost. Both see the same routines, the same rewards, and the same progress in real-time.
Especially valuable for shared custody or when one parent is often away.
How Parent Collaboration Works
Designed for modern families — shared custody, shift work, remote jobs, and everything in between.

Invite in seconds
Display a QR code on your device. Your partner scans with their phone, creates an account, and is immediately connected to your family. No invitation codes to transcribe, no email back-and-forth.

Both see the same data instantly
When the child checks off a task, both parents' views are updated instantly. No manual syncs, no shared email account, no risk of missing what happened during the day.

Private per adult
Both parents can have their own solo routines and their own viewing mode. What you build for yourself is not seen by the other — only the children's routines and calendar are shared.

Same routine in both homes
The routine follows the child — the same morning routine with the same steps and pictures at mom's house and at dad's house. Reduces confusion and builds consistency even when the child moves between homes.

No one is 'main account'
Both parents have the same rights — can add routines, change settings, approve rewards, and view history. No one needs to ask the other for access to anything.
Why shared access is so important
Everyday life with children is rarely a one-person job — and apps that only have room for one parent create new points of friction. One parent ends up in the driver's seat, the other becomes a passenger. That's not good for anyone — and in many families, it leads to the app stopping being used altogether.
Routined lets both parents have equal access to the child's data, settings, and history. No "main account", no "sub-accounts", no hierarchy.
When parent collaboration makes the biggest difference
For shared custody
When the child commutes between two homes, consistency is key. If the morning routine is the same in both homes — the same steps, the same visual support, the same reward system — confusion is drastically reduced. And since both parents have the same rights, you can share the responsibility for maintaining the routines.
For work or travel
If mom is traveling, dad can still see what happened today, which routines were done, what the mood was like according to the mood tracker. No one loses track of the child's daily life just because they're not home.
When parents have different preferences
Mom might want strict times, dad might want more flexibility. With both as administrators, you can work together — discuss, adjust, update without one feeling controlled or excluded.
How QR code invitation works
You who already have the Routined account go to settings and select "invite partner". A QR code is displayed on your screen. The partner opens their Routined app and scans the code. Done — the partner is now connected to the same family and sees the same data.
The QR code is more secure than a link in an email because it must be scanned physically — it cannot be forwarded or left in a thread where the wrong person can see it.
What is shared and what is private
Shared between both: children's profiles, routines, calendar events, rewards, history, statistics, and mood check.
Private per parent: own solo routines and own viewing mode for yourself. What you build for yourself is not seen by the other parent.
Security and trust
Both parents have the same rights — that also means both can remove or change things. Have a brief dialogue when you start about who takes primary responsibility for different parts (who builds the morning routine, who keeps track of rewards) so that you don't overlap work or accidentally delete each other's changes.
