Your voice guides the child — even when you're not there
Record a short instruction for each routine step. The child taps to hear the voice — in the morning, during the evening routine, or when they are with the other parent.
A familiar voice makes routines easier to follow. And safer.
How voice recording works
A simple feature that offers great benefits for children with reading difficulties, younger children, and families in different homes.

Record a short instruction
Tap and speak what you want the child to hear. The recording is linked to the specific routine step and can be played there every time the child is there.

The child taps to hear
The recording does not play automatically — the child chooses when it should be heard. Good for children who sometimes want to read, sometimes hear. It never becomes intrusive.

Mom morning, dad evening
Both primary users and partners can edit routines and record their own recordings. The child can have different voices for different moments — or just one of you.

Stored in your family account
The recordings are securely stored in your family's cloud account and are only shared with the family members you have added yourself. No third parties have access.

Record new anytime
If you record a new recording for the same step, it replaces the old one. Children grow and voice instructions may need to be updated — it takes seconds.
Why a familiar voice makes a difference
For many children — especially younger children and children with autism — a known voice is a reassuring signal. When mom says "now it's time to brush your teeth", it's not just the words that are registered: it's the voice, the tone, the feeling of recognition.
Being able to record your own voice in Routined solves a concrete problem: when you are not physically there — traveling, at work, or with the other parent — the voice is still present.
When voice recording is extra valuable
For work on the go or shift work
If you have to travel or start work early, the evening routine can still be run with your recorded voice as a guide. Not as a replacement, but as a complement — so the child does not feel that the routine collapses just because you are not home.
For children who cannot yet read
Voice completely removes the need for text. Combined with visual support, a 4-year-old child can navigate a routine without being able to read — the picture shows what, the voice explains how.
For children with reading and writing difficulties
With dyslexia or reading comprehension difficulties, text often becomes a barrier even for simple instructions. Voice bypasses this entirely and allows the child to focus on the task itself instead of struggling with reading.
Tips for good recordings
- Keep it short: 5–15 seconds per step is usually enough. "Now we brush our teeth for two minutes."
- Record in a calm environment. Background noise can distract children with sound sensitivity.
- Use a friendly tone — instruction, not command. "Now we will" rather than "you must".
- Update from time to time. Children grow, and a voice from when they were four sounds strange when they are seven.
Privacy and storage
