Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – to many children the days of the week are just words that sound alike. Without a map of the week it is hard to know whether today is a swimming day, a day at grandma's or an ordinary school day, and the question of which day it is keeps coming back.

With the whole week laid out in pictures, the pattern becomes visible. Thursday with football looks different from a Saturday at home, and what felt the same inside their head is now clearly separated on the row. Your child can go back and check what applies instead of asking an adult again and again.

One concrete tip: give each day its own colour or symbol that returns week after week, so your child quickly recognises their Thursday.
