Yogurt and cereal
A spoon of yogurt with crunchy cereal is not the same thing to every child – the texture and the ratio often need to match what they expect. The cards below let the child see what is going in the bowl before the first spoon is lifted.

About this visual support
Few breakfasts are as sensitive to proportions as yogurt and cereal. Add the cereal too early and it goes soggy, pour too much yogurt and the crunch disappears, and if anyone mixes the wrong amount in the wrong order, the whole bowl can become uneatable. For many children this is not fussiness – it is about the bowl feeling the way it usually feels in the mouth.
With picture cards the child gets to see each part before they meet: the yogurt in the bowl, the cereal still in its box, maybe berries or honey on the side. It becomes possible to agree on cereal first, then yogurt – or the other way around – without negotiating mid-pour. A concrete tip: let the child point at the cards in the order they want, then build the bowl in that order. Show amounts with a small glass of yogurt and a handful of cereal so nobody has to guess.
In Routined you can save yogurt and cereal as a step in the breakfast routine, and the same setup returns morning after morning.
