Filling the washing machine is not one motion but several: sorting clothes, measuring detergent, loading and pressing the right button. The pictures below break it into steps, so your child can finish one before the next begins.

It looks like a single chore, but filling the washing machine properly is a chain of small decisions: which clothes go together, how much detergent, where it is poured and which programme to pick. If a step is missed or done in the wrong order, it does not show until the wash is finished, and by then it is too late to fix.
Visual support makes the sequence visible while it happens. With one picture per step, sort, dose, load, start, the child does not have to hold the whole order in mind at once. It becomes easier to focus on one step when the next already waits in its place in the line, and the risk of mixing up dosing and pressing the button drops.
Give the child a small measuring cup of their own for the detergent, so dosing becomes a concrete step with a clear end rather than a guess. When the cup is filled to the line, that step is done.
