Water is fun, but around the splashing itself sits a whole pile of moments nobody thinks about until they go wrong. You have to undress on a cold floor, wait your turn, manage the shower, get in and then do it all in reverse with wet skin and clothes that cling. For a child the day becomes a parade of unfamiliar switches.
Visual support lays the whole swimming day out in order so your child can see where in the row they are. When the pictures show change, shower, swim, dry and dress, every wet or cold moment becomes something you know is coming and that will end. That makes the awkward shifts between dry and wet easier, because they are expected rather than sudden.
