At the gym the environment does half the work for you. At home there is no changing room, no coach and nobody already warming up, only a space the body associates with food, television and rest. That is why a home workout is almost always about getting started rather than about managing the exercises.

A picture sequence replaces the external push with an external structure. Put the cards in order: change clothes, move the coffee table, roll out the mat, warm up, three exercises, stretch. When the session is already decided, nobody has to negotiate what to do, and whoever is training can begin without making five decisions first. A clear final card also makes the end as visible as the beginning, which makes it easier to give everything in the middle.

One concrete move: choose a fixed spot in the room as the training place and show it on the first card. Rolling out the mat becomes the signal that the room has switched from rest to movement.
