A wet towel is surprisingly motor-heavy. It is heavy in the wrong way, slides when you try to drag it across the bar and stubbornly wants to fall sideways. At the same time the child has already reached the finish line, fresh from the shower, dressed, relieved, with the mind no longer in the bathroom. That is why this step is forgotten more often than any other hygiene step.
A picture of the towel on the bar turns the step into a visible ending instead of an extra task. The child can compare the card with the bar: does this picture match what I see now? That tiny check is easier to handle than a verbal reminder when the head is already somewhere else.
