Diary
A child sits with the pen and has no idea where to start. The pictures below make the diary moment visible and offer a few threads to follow, so getting going feels easier than facing a blank page.

Diary
An open diary with a pen resting on the page and a small heart drawn on it.
About this visual support
The evening is calm, the day is done, and still the diary often stays shut. Not because the child has nothing to tell, but because the moment is invisible and it is hard to know where to begin.
A picture makes the habit concrete: here is the book, here is the pen, now is this moment. When the diary has its own place in the evening, the child no longer has to first remember it exists and then work out what goes in it. Give the content a few small footholds, such as one image for something you did, someone you met and something you felt, so the child has three threads to choose from instead of a gaping blank.
It matters less whether it becomes a single sentence or a drawing; the point is that the moment returns and feels familiar. If you want to place the diary as a recurring evening step, you can build it in the Routined app, where the first fourteen days cost nothing.
