What's New in Routined 1.1.8: Record Your Own Voice for Your Child's Routines
A familiar voice makes routines easier to follow. With version 1.1.8 you can record your own voice messages directly on each step — and we've polished the time picker and empty-day view for a cleaner look.

Version 1.1.8 is rolling out now. The headline feature is voice recording for routine steps — but there's also a round of visual polish across the app. Here's what's new.
Record your own voice for each step
For children who can't read yet, a familiar voice makes all the difference. Instead of relying only on text or pictures, you can now record short voice messages for each step in a routine.
Open any routine step, tap the new voice recorder, and record in seconds. When your child reaches that step, your voice plays — gently guiding them forward without you having to be in the room.
A few ways families are using it:
- "Hi! Time to brush your teeth — remember to use the small brush."
- "Good job! Now socks on, then shoes by the door."
- Grandparents recording the evening routine for sleepovers.
It's one of those small things that turns a screen into something that actually feels personal.
Refined time picker and empty-day view
We've spent time on the details this release:
- Time picker — cleaner layout, easier to read, faster to set.
- Empty day — when there are no routines scheduled, the screen now looks intentional rather than empty.
- Dozens of smaller tweaks — spacing, contrast, and transitions across the app, so everything feels more consistent.
None of these are flashy on their own, but together they make the app calmer to use day to day.
