What's New in Routined 1.1.5–1.1.7: Calendar Events, Mood Check-ins, Screen Time Rewards, and More

Three releases' worth of updates in one place — shared calendar events, mood check-ins, screen time as a reward type, one-tap profile copying, an in-app FAQ, and a smoother routine creation flow.

If you missed the last few releases, here's a combined recap of what landed across versions 1.1.5, 1.1.6 and 1.1.7. These three updates quietly added some of the most-requested features from our users — things that make Routined feel less like a to-do list and more like a shared picture of your family's day.

Shared calendar events

Routines handle the repeating parts of the day — but life has one-offs too. A dentist appointment. Help with homework on Tuesday. A friend coming over after school.

With calendar events, you can now add those one-off items directly to the calendar, and optionally share them with your child so they show up in their calendar as well. No more "did you remember we have the appointment at three?" — it's right there, for both of you.

Mood check-ins

You can now add a mood check to any routine group. Your child picks how they feel before, after, or both — and over time you get a simple, gentle picture of their emotional well-being.

It's not meant to replace a real conversation, but it does flag patterns. A week of tough mornings before school, a good stretch of evenings after you changed the bedtime routine — it all becomes visible.

Screen time as a reward

Completed routines can now unlock screen time in minutes as a reward type — alongside the existing money-based allowance and custom rewards.

This was the most-requested reward type by far. Instead of negotiating screen time in the moment, it becomes something your child has earned and can spend. Less friction, more clarity.

Copy profile in one tap

Setting up the second child used to mean recreating what you already built for the first. Now you can long-press any profile to copy it — and choose exactly what carries over: routine groups, individual tasks, reward settings. Fine-tune from there.

Particularly useful for families with siblings on similar schedules.

Sortable routine groups

Routine groups can now be reordered with a drag, so your morning routine sits above the afternoon one — or wherever makes sense for your family. A small thing that turned out to matter a lot day-to-day.

FAQ right in settings

Quick help where you need it. The new FAQ section in settings answers the questions we get most often — no tab-switching, no searching. Tap, read, close.

Smoother routine creation

We rebuilt the routine creation flow to make the steps clearer and reduce the number of taps to get something useful saved. If you set up your first routine a while ago, it's worth trying again — the path from "empty" to "scheduled for tomorrow morning" is noticeably shorter.

Fixes under the hood

Across these three releases we also:

  • Fixed currency formatting for allowances in several locales
  • Resolved date calculation issues on routine history
  • Cleaned up reward balance and payout history edge cases
  • Improved overall stability and app start time
